Starting July 1, those who have completed their COVID-19 vaccination will be exempt from quarantine. This is limited to visitors with a special purpose (business, academic, and extradition). Currently, the Korean government requires all overseas entrants to undergo a mandatory two-week quarantine, however this can be waived for visitors who have completed their vaccinations.
However, quarantine exemption is only available starting from two weeks after completing the number of vaccinations recommended by the home country. Following WHO standards, accepted vaccination brands are Pfizer, Janssen, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Covishield, Sinopharm, and Sinovac.
Also, quarantine exemption will not be given to entrants from countries with high numbers of COVID-19 variants such as South Africa and Brazil.
A quarantine waiver can be issued by submitting the necessary documents to an evaluation agency.

- Submit application, pledge, and vaccination record to evaluation agency → evaluation by evaluation agency → issue quarantine waiver
